He was Board board-certified consultant in Medical Administration, Director General of Health Services Navy, CEO of Kotalawela Defence University Hospital and Director of Colombo East Teaching Hospital. He is a member of the PGIM Board of Study in Medical Administration, Senior Lecturer at Command Staff College, SLIDA and IIHS and President of the College of Medical Administrators Sri Lanka (CMASL)
